Summary of Conference

Over 400 participants and speakers attended the conference to share information about gaps and barriers at local, state and federal levels, review lessons learned, determine potential practices for the future and build a network of public health professionals to advance the field of radiation emergency preparedness. The tsunami, earthquake, and related radiation emergencies in Japan made the conference timely, preparing participants in responding to a radiological or nuclear incident.
